There's a light, strong Newmen Advanced SL R.38 Streem carbon wheelset, too. And, with all the attention we lavish on ensuring our C:62©, carbon frame is as accurate as it is fast, that's the real icing on the cake.

Racking up the miles should be fun, rather than a chore. That's why we began by kitting out the Attain C:62 SLX with Shimano's legendary 105 Di2 2x12 gears and matching hydraulic disc brakes – because they put control of your speed literally at your fingertips, whatever the road or weather conditions. Light, fast-accelerating Newmen Evolution SL R.35 wheels are shod with Continental's 30mm Grand Prix tyres, for the best all-round blend of tenacious grip and all-day comfort. With its semi-aero frame and full carbon fork, the rest is down to you.

The idea behind the Attain Race is that it combines the speed of a semi-aero road bike with the comfort of a lightweight tourer. So, for example, we fitted Shimano's slick-shifting Tiagra 2x10 gears and matching Tiagra hydraulic disc brakes. Light and tenaciously grippy Continental Grand Prix tyres, in a comfortable 30mm width. And finished off with a lightweight carbon fork and a frame built for both comfort and speed, so you can broaden your horizons in whichever direction takes your fancy.
