With 29" wheels and a wide range of RIDE-9 adjustments, the Rocky Mountain Instinct is available in both carbon and alloy models. The re-designed frame pushes the rear travel to 140mm, increasing stiffness and tweaking the suspension kinematics. Despite the increase in travel, the new frame has noticeably more efficient pedaling with better small-bump sensitivity. The Instinct Carbon 70 combines a superlight and ultra-durable Smoothwall carbon frame with the Rocky Mountain suspension design that puts it well ahead of the industry curve. Fox handles damping front and rear with a 34 fork and DPS EVOL shock, ensuring that tricky line you start is the line you finish. The Instinct Carbon 70 rolls on Sun’s versatile Düroc rims wrapped in Maxxis rubber for aggressive control in any trail conditions, and they’re spurred on by a SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain with the gear range to go anywhere. You can dial back the speed just in time with powerful Shimano XT brakes and rely on Rocky Mountain and Race Face components to guide this rig through your trickiest descents and technical climbs.
