HED Jet 4 Plus
If you had to pick one series of Hed products that are the fastest, most versatile, and best bang-for-your-buck, it is our beloved Jet Plus line. The Plus rim technology is the next evolution of our groundbreaking C2 rim, and features a 25mm-wide profile. This offers a host of benefits, including better aerodynamics, handling, and stiffness, along with increased tire volume for improved ride quality and rolling speed. Riders everywhere are choosing fatter tires, and our Plus rims are the perfect match. The Jet 4 Plus has the shallowest aero section in the Jet line, at 46mm. That makes it the lightest option, and also the least susceptible to side force caused by wind. It is ideal when both weight and aerodynamics are at a premium, and as a great front wheel choice for those who prefer less side force. Chrissie Wellington loves the Jet 4, and rode it to victory at the Ironman® World Championship four times. This wheel is available in either a standard build with 18 front spokes and 24 rear spokes, or a Stallion build with 20 front spokes and 28 rear spokes. The Stallion build is stiffer, and ideal for strong riders or those around 200 lbs and above.
HED Jet 4 Plus Wheelset
$2,199.99
Perhaps the most versatile wheels in the entire Hed line, the Jet series got even sweeter for 2014. How so? The 4, 6, 9, and disc all received our new 25mm Plus rim design, just like the Ardennes Plus. This rim section is the next evolution of C2 technology, which broke ground in 2007 with a 23mm-wide rim. Wide rims carry a host of benefits including better aerodynamics, better handling, and increased tire volume for improved ride quality and rolling speed. HED Jet 6
$699.99 - $764.99
Crosswinds you ask? No problem. The aero profile of the Jet 6 is optimized for lots of wind conditions and it takes a strong crosswind to stall them out. These wheels have won everything from local crits to the Ironman World Championship, and they’re still setting records. The Jet 6s also climb well. Tests done by HED show that these wheels perform better than a wheel that is 300 grams lighter with a traditional rim profile as long as grades stay below 7.5%. Please note: Pictured is a front wheel
HED Ardennes SL Disc Brake Tubular
$716.49 - $846.76
Disc brakes are all the rage these days, and for good reason. They offer great braking in all weather, especially mud-laden cyclocross, dusty gravel races, and cold winter training rides. What do disc brake bikes deserve more than anything? A great set of wheels. Ardennes Disc Brake wheels can be had in several variations. The SL is our lightest, fastest, and fanciest version, with Hed Lite bladed spokes and our new 545 J-bend hub. The LT keeps all of the same specs, but substitutes in the slightly heavier standard Hed bladed spoke. The clincher Ardennes Plus Disc Brake wheels use the same 25mm wide, tubeless-compatible rim, to bring the most out of your tires. We also offer a tubular version with 22mm-wide (rim brake) or 23mm-wide (disc brake) alloy rim. All Ardennes Plus Disc Brake wheels accommodate every modern axle standard: Quick Release, 15mm front thru axle, 12mm front thru axle, and 142x12mm rear thru axle. For SL and LT wheels, please specify which axle you need at the time of order. Disc Brake compatibility = Shimano Centerlock (6-bolt rotors require an adapter). *Ardennes SL and LT Plus Disc Brake wheels are approved for XC mountain bike use.
